Was a part of Loras College's first-ever IIAC North Division pennant-winning team in 1952, hitting a whopping .362.
Led team in scoring as a sophomore and in 1953 took Loras to the division title in basketball. Had a total of 696 points in three varsity seasons.
Former V.P. for American Trust and Savings Bank, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, active in the Dubuque Youth Council Board, treasurer of of the board of directors for the Office of Equal Opportunity and served on the board of education for Nativity Parish.
