Only Duhawk to earn national most valuable player honors by being selected as the 1955 Catholic Small College Player of the Year.
Two-time Little All-American as selected by the Brooklyn Tablet an All-Catholic All-American selection, anchoring both the offensive and defensive lines for the Duhawks in 1954 and 1955.
Also earned three consecutive first team all-Catholic Midwest honors
The most decorated linemen in the school's history, he also received the Kiwanis Club of Dubuque Sportsmanship Award.
