Second-Half Comeback Sinks Duhawks

WAVERLY, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball team fell to 3-4 (0-3 IIAC) after a 64-46 loss at No. 4/13 Wartburg. Senior Addie Oberman led the Duhawks with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
- Loras ran out to an early 7-2 lead thanks to the play of senior Addie Oberman, who after scoring a layup, fed freshman Marissa Schroeder for a 3-pointer 
- The Duhawks extended their lead to six with a 3-pointer by Oberman, this time assisted by Schroeder
- Back-to-back 3's from the Knights tied the game at 10 halfway through the first quarter
- Loras went on a 7-0 run in less than two minutes to steal the lead with made shots from Oberman and fellow seniors Kate Moriarty and Kelly Barzowski
- The Duhawks solidified an eight-point lead at 32-24 after outscoring the Knights, 22-10, in the second quarter 
- Junior Hanna Stokes went back-to-back for baskets off the glass, both assisted by Oberman to start the second half and extend Loras' lead to 11 at 38-27
- Wartburg regained the lead with 10 seconds left in the third quarter and carried the momentum over to the fourth quarter, finishing a 7-0 run
- Once the lead was established, the Knights turned on the after-burners and left the Duhawks in the dust, outscoring Loras 17-4 over the remainder of the game

- Loras' 12-0 run served as the difference in the second quarter as the Duhawks outscored Wartburg 22-10 
- The Duhawks out-rebounded Wartburg on the night, 39-37 with one more than the Knights offensively and defensively
