Stromert led the Duhawks to a 2-2 mark in Iowa Conference play last week, splitting series with Buena Vista and No. 13 Central. Scoring a run and working for walk in game one against the Beavers, Stromert responded with a powerful performance in game two. Blasting a home run to propel the Duhawks to a 6-3 win over the Beavers, Stromert tallied two RBI and a walk to lift Loras to a split.

Returning to the diamond on Saturday, Stromert picked up where she left off on Friday night. Going 2-for-4 on the day, Stromert scored four runs while driving in two. Adding three walks, a home run, and a double to Saturday’s stat line, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa product finished the week boasting a .333 batting average. The Duhawks to a 4-3 come from behind win over the Dutch marked Loras’ first win over Central since the 2012 season.

Stromert is no stranger to Champpion of the Week honors, garnering the recognition for the second time this season.
