INDIANOLA, Iowa (Oct. 29, 2022) – Loras College women's cross country graduate student
Kassie Parker proved once again that she is among the best of the best in league history on Saturday morning as she earned her second consecutive American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) individual championship.
Parker paced the A-R-C field at the Simpson College Cross Country Course in Pickard Park in Indianola, Iowa with a race-winning time of 20:50.9. The Guttenberg, Iowa native ran away with yet another victory by a margin of one minute and 15 seconds over Aubrie Fisher, the race runner-up from Wartburg College. Parker garnered All-Conference honors with her finish, marking the fifth cross country all-conference honor of her career.
No. 2 Wartburg entered the meet as the favorite and claimed places 2-6 behind Parker to outscore the rest of the field with a total score of 20. The Duhawks finished second with a score of 60, ahead of Central College in third (80), Simpson College in fourth (95), and Nebraska Wesleyan University in fifth (149).
Two other Duhawk runners joined Parker as All-Conference performers by way of finishing inside the top 15 in the race standings. Senior
Brianna Renner claimed the final spot in the top-10 with a 23:20.0, earning her all-conference honors for the first time in her career.
Renner was joined by graduate student
Kaylee Osterberger in 13
th place with a 23:31.4 time, marking the second All-Conference nod of her career and her first since 2019.

Ellie Osterberger, a 2021 All-Conference runner, placed 17
th while senior
Marianne Gleason placed 22
nd to finish out the scoring for the Duhawks. Gleason was followed closely by
Bailey Vaughan in 23
rd,
Alexis Riesberg in 24
th, and
Alison Bryant in 26
th.
The postseason is just beginning for the Duhawks as they'll head off to the NCAA Midwest Region Championship on Saturday, Nov. 12.
