DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College Athletic Department announced its partnership with Influxer, a company that will allow student-athletes the chance to capitalize on their name, image and likeness (NIL) by creating merchandise to be sold through an online store.
"It is exciting to be able to offer our student-athletes access to NIL opportunities," said Director of Athletics Denise Udelhofen. "Partnering with Influxer affords us the opportunity also to serve our student-athletes in a space that is continuously growing in college athletics."
With Influxer, every student-athlete at Loras will have access to a personalized website where they can customize gear, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts, and jewelry with their name and number. In addition to profiting from the merchandise sold, Duhawks will benefit from education and training from Influxer about marketing, entrepreneurship and personal branding.
"Influxer is excited to partner with the Duhawks to create an NIL opportunity that's a win for everyone," said Levi Norwood, Head of Strategic Partnerships for Influxer. "Chris Martin and the team have been fantastic, not only focusing on the end result but also recognizing how valuable this business experience is for the growth and development of their student-athletes."
Loras joins over 400 universities that have already partnered with Influxer.
