Brit Kent

Brit Kent begins her fourth season back at her alma mater as the primary assistant for the women’s basketball program. Prior to returning to Loras, Kent was a two-year graduate assistant for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball program. Her primary duties at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville included direct oversight of all social media platforms, practice and game prep, recruiting, individual workouts, and film breakdown.

Following her playing career, Kent was a volunteer assistant coach for Justin Heinzen during the 2013–14 season in which Loras won the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) regular season and tournament championship, advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament. During that season, Kent assisted with practice and game preparations, recruiting, and individual workouts.

Kent has more than five years of AAU coaching experience working with some elite athletes in the Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois areas. She has been a head coach for programs in Iowa and Wisconsin during her time in the AAU circuit.
As a student-athlete at Loras, Kent was a three-year team captain and an All-Conference selection. She appeared in 106 games, averaging 7.4 points per game and was a 39.5 percent shooter from the floor.

Kent earned her bachelor’s degree in physical Education from Loras and her master of science degree in adult education from UW-Platteville. She currently resides in Dubuque.
