Ben Gill comes to Loras from La Crosse, Wisconsin where he has been the Head Coach at the La Crosse Area Family YMCA. Six of Gill's athletes have qualified for YMCA Nationals under his direction since June of 2014. At the YMCA State Meet, Gill's squad placed third and was home to multiple state champions.
Prior to his time in La Crosse, Gill spent two years in St. Cloud, Minnesota as a graduate assistant at St. Cloud State University. As a part of the coaching staff, St. Cloud claimed nine Division II All-Americans as well as claiming back-to-back NSIC Conference Championships on the women's side.
Gill's coaching history includes stops at the St. Cloud YMCA in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the Fox Cities YMCA in Appleton, Wisconsin, Stanford University, and St. Benedict's College, totaling more than eight years of coaching experience.
A 2007 graduate of St. Cloud State University, Gill earned his degree in english. As a part of his graduate assistant program, he earned his master's degree in english studies.
