Paul Wagner is in his fourth season coaching the Duhawk pole vaulters. Before coming to Loras, Wagner was the Head Men's & Women's Track & Field Coach at Coe College for 18 years. His teams won eight conference championships in his time with the Kohawks. He has also coached 68 All-Americans, four NCAA Division III National Champions and six NCAA Division III National Runner-Up finishes.
In his first two seasons at Loras, Wagner has coached a 3x-Iowa Conference Champion and has had seven pole vaulters earn All-Conference honors.
As an athlete, Wagner was a 7-time conference champion in the pole vault (4 indoor and 3 outdoor) and a 2-time NCAA Division III National Qualifier as a student-athlete with the Kohawks. Wagner earned All-Midwest Confererence and Team MVP honors in football while at Coe.
