Loras College Athletics

In his second year as an Assistant Coach for the Wrestling program, Guy Patron Jr. helped coach the Duhawks to a 2^nd place finish in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) and finished ranked 7^th with a 16-4 record in the 2022-23 wrestling season.  The Duhawks finished 3^rd in the NCAA Lower Midwest Regional where four Duhawks advanced to the NCAA National Championships in Roanoke, VA.  Shane Liegel, Zeke Smith, Eric Kinkaid, and Gabe Fiser all advanced to Virginia where Smith finished 4^th in the 157 lb. division and Liegel finished 2^nd in the 184 lb. division, earning them both All-American status.  Liegel, Smith, Kinkaid, Fiser, Zeb Gnida, Jalen Schropp, and Wyatt Wriedt all received A-R-C All-Conference honors.
