Loras College Athletics

In his first years as an assistant wrestling coach, Kirk Mommsen helped the Duhawks to a 2^nd place finish in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) and finish 7^th in the country with a 16-4 record.  Four Duhawks advanced to the NCAA National Championships in Roanoke, VA, as Shane Liegel, Zeke Smith, Eric Kinkaid, and Gabe Fiser all made it to Virginia.  Liegel and Smith finished as All-Americans as Liegel finished 2^nd and Smith finished 4^th in their respective weight classes.  Along with Liegel, Smith, Kincaid, and Fiser, Jalen Schropp, Zeb Gnida, and Wyatt Wriedt received A-R-C All-Conference honors.
