Jamie Majerowicz

Jamie Majerowicz begins her third season as the women's basketball assistant coach under Justin Heinzen. Since her arrival, Loras has made two appearances in the Iowa Conference Tournament as well as one trip to the NCAA Tournament. Majerowicz has coached Lori Obendorf to back-to-back Iowa Conference Defensive MVP honors and five All-Iowa Conference selections along with two honorable mentions.

Majerowicz comes to Loras from Chicago, Illinois, where she played her prep basketball at Lane Tech High School. With the Indians, she accumulated a number of honors including All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State. Additionally, Majerowicz qualified for the 3-point contest and was an All-American Nominee.

Following high school, she attended Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota and was a three-year starter for the Warriors. As members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, Majerowicz was a three-time All-Conference Academic selection and captained the Warriors to their winningest season in program history during the 2008-09 season. That year, Winona State won the NSIC Tournament and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament before falling in overtime to Fort Lewis College 75-69.

Since her playing days, Majerowicz has coached both at the high school and collegiate levels. Immediately following her studies at Winona State, Majerowicz spent one year at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois, and coached volleyball, women's basketball, and badminton. All three sports were conference champions during her time with the program.

After spending one year at Evanston Township High School and working with On The Go Sports, Majerowicz returned to her alma mater in 2012 as a graduate assistant. While an assistant under Scott Ballard, Majerowicz worked closely with the forwards and as a result, Abby Busch was selected to the All-NSIC second team.

Majerowicz, and her fiance, Darin Schultz, live in Dubuque.
