PREVIEWING THE STORM...
The Duhawks will take on Iowa Conference opponents, Simpson College, on Saturday, October 11 in Indianola, Iowa. The Storm have started the season 2-10-1 overall and are 0-2-1 against conference opponents. In 2013, the Storm finished the season with a 4-16-1 record overall and 2-4-1 against conference opponents. Simpson has felt the impact of losing one of their leading scorers, Rachel Muse as well as Amber Johnson being injured. Johnson, a senior from Grinnell, Iowa, has scored 20 career goals in her time at Simpson and led the Storm in 2013 with 14 points. Muse, a West Des Moines native, scored four goals and had three assists for a total of 11 points. Muse did not return to play for the Storm this season.
In 2014, the Storm are led by Mackenzie Stump, a sophomore from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Stump has scored four goals on the season for eight points. Stump is followed by Katelyn Behounek with two goals and four points. The Chelsea, Iowa native was Academic All-IIAC in 2013.

The Duhawks made a statement in their fifth consecutive game on the Rock Bowl on Saturday, October 4, beating the Buena Vista Beavers 6-0. Scoring for the Duhawks were
Alexa Eggert (4'),
Katie Truesdale (27'),
Hanna Burgmeier (44'),
Claire Murphy (56'), and
Riley O'Neill (58'). The win moved the Duhawks to 2-1 in Iowa Conference play.
Loras outshot Buena Vista 26-2 and won the corner kick battle 9-1. Fifteen different Duhawks had at least one shot and
Katie Truesdale led the Duhawks with 8 shots. The Duhawks obtaining an early lead allowed head coach
Dan Rothert to delve into the deepest part of his bench playing all but one player on the roster.
