ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST WARTBURG
The Knights post a 39-24 record over the Duhawks. Loras has been more successful against Wartburg in the past three seasons, winning seven of the eight last contests against them. These teams have been facing each other since since the 1979-80 season in which Loras won, 74-65.

LAST MEETING AGAINST WARTBURG
The Duhawks last met the Knights in a post-season matchup in 2015. Loras struggled to hit their shots and was eliminated from the Iowa Conference tournament upon falling 65-58 to Wartburg. The Duhawks were again led by Kaitlin Phillips and Lori Obendorf who recorded 19 points and 12 rebounds, respectively.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Wartburg enters the weekend with a 13-3 record, 3-2 in conference after defeating Simpson midweek. The Knights fell out of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll this week after suffering back-to-back losses to Luther and Buena Vista. Senior Kailey Kladivo, a 2015 All-Conference selection, has been Wartburg's driving force on both ends of the court. She averages 15.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. As a team, the Knights lead the IIAC in field goal percentage (.458) and 3-point percentage (.401). They also have the higest scoring margin of +13.7.

HALFTIME TRENDS
The Duhawks have continually tried to set the tone for their games by getting out to fast starts. The Duhawks have utilized a sense of urgency to start to pull away early in the game. In five of their six home wins, Loras has led their opponents going into the half. Their biggest lead came in their season opener when they held Beloit to a 47-31 deficit, while their closet came down to just one point when they lead No. 7 WashU, 29-28. While on the road, the Duhawks have had to fight their way back. The Duhawks have trailed at half in two of their three road wins.

AREAS TO IMPROVE
Sitting at 10-5 in the middle of January, there is a lot to like about what the Duhawks have accomplished so far. This season has featured several impressive performances, but there is still room for improvement. In recent contests, Loras has struggled against opponents' zone defense strategy. The tough presence in the paint has limited the Duhawks' offensive success. A more synchronized offensive attack that minimizes turnovers will be key for Loras going forward.

HOME SWEET HOME
Loras has enjoyed a lot of early success this season and a major part of this success can be attributed to the home court advantage that Lillis Court has provided for the Duhawks this year.  Inside the comforts of the Athletic & Wellness Center, Loras has posted a 6-1 record with their only loss coming by just three points to No. 10 Wheaton on Dec. 12. This 6-1 mark at home is good for the third best home record in the conference, trailing just Luther and Wartburg. Ironically, the Duhawks will welcome both the Norse and the Knights to Dubuque this week.
