DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras swimming and diving teams fell to Ripon on Saturday to open the 2017-18 season. The men's team fell by a score of 109-103 while the women endured a 117-104 setback.

Ike Casey opened his final campaign with a pair of wins in the 50 free (20.92) and 100 free (46.47)

Mac Faldet collected wins in the 200 IM (2:04.19) and 100 breast (59.15)

Nick Baron swept the 1m diving events, earning 121.70 points on six dives and 172.30 points on 11 dives
-Junior
Kaitlyn LaGrange posted victories in the 500 and 1,000 free with times of 5:51.25 and 11:56.80, respectively
-Freshman
Sarah Shafer shined in her Duhawk debut, winning the 50 free in 25.93 and the 100 back in 1:02.24

Mikaela Lengwin swept the 1m diving events, scoring 168.40 points on six dives and 247.60 points on 11 dives
-The Duhawks took both races of the 200 medley relay, with the men in 1:43.74 and the women in 2:06.05
