POST MATCH CELEBRATION

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
-Wind gusts between 25 and 30 miles per hour on Tuesday played a heavy role in how each side approached each half ... The Dutch took advantage of a failed clearance by Loras to take the lead in the fourth minute
-From there, Central controlled the first half, owning a shot advantage of 11-3
-The Duhawks' lone shot on target came from freshman Kiki Cabrera, who managed to direct a shot on target following a corner kick in the 29th minute
-With the halftime switch came the change in momentum as Loras outshot Central 9-4 in the second half
-Head coach Matt Pucci pulled the sweeper in the 75th minute and was rewarded minutes later as the extra midfielder forced the ball down the end line for senior Lauren Bolnius to run onto … A cut to her right and Bolnius lofted her shot to the top-right corner for her sixth of the season
-Senior Gretchen Schutz had the lone shot on goal in the first period of extra time, forcing a save out of the Dutch goalkeeper
-The final period of extra time did not warrant a shot by either side, settling for the 1-1 draw

NOTABLES
-With 20 points in conference play, Loras stands alone atop the IIAC table and clinches the No. 1 seed in the upcoming postseason tournament … As a result, the Duhawks will face the No. 4 vs. No. 5 winner next Wednesday night in the Rock Bowl
-Sophomore Kaylee Coble lowered her goals against average to 0.91 this season after making six saves … Tuesday was the seventh time this season that Coble made five or more saves in a match
-Bolnius set a career-high with her sixth goal of the season and brought her career point total to 36

FRIEDMAN GROUP PLAYER OF THE GAME - LAUREN BOLNIUS
After trailing for 78 minutes, Bolnius delivered on the equalizer for her sixth goal of the season, sending her shot to the top corner off the deflection.

UP NEXT
Tuesday night's results around the conference will dictate the rest of the six-team field for the IIAC Tournament. At this point, Loras will be at home next Wednesday. Opponent and kickoff time will be finalized on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
