• Friday marks the fifth meeting all-time … Loras has won three of the previous four meetings … Last meeting was a 78-64 win for the Duhawks in 2004

TEAM NOTABLES - CARROLL
• The Pioneers are coming off a 1-23 season in which they went 0-11 on the road
• Brittney Wald returns for her senior season after averaging 15.9 points per game in 2016-17 and shooting 43.2 percent from the floor and collecting 6.6 rebounds per game

SERIES NOTABLES - UW-STEVENS POINT
• Saturday marks the fourth meeting all-time … UW-Stevens Point has won two of the previous three meetings … Loras won the last meeting in 1983, 72-53

TEAM NOTABLES - UW-STEVENS POINT
• The Pointers are off to a 1-0 start this season after defeating Alverno 67-35 on Wednesday
• In 2016-17, UWSP finished 17-9 and suffered a first-round loss in the WIAC Tournament to UW-River Falls
• Carly Cerrato led the Pointers with 13 points, followed closely by freshman Kellan Schmidt who added 10 points in her collegiate debut
• Five of the six freshmen for UWSP scored in the season opener

TEAM NOTABLES - LORAS
• The Duhawks went 17-10 last season, including a 10-6 mark in conference play … Advanced to the conference tournament semifinal before falling to second-seeded Luther on the road
• Loras returns three of its top-five scorers who combined for 26.1 points per game
• Went 2-0 against WIAC opponents last season (W, 74-69 vs. UW-La Crosse … W, 69-50 vs. UW-Platteville)
• In last five season openers, the Duhawks are 4-1
Justin Heinzen enters his 11th season as head coach and has a career record of 163-106 … Heinzen's teams won the Iowa Conference Regular Season Championship in 2014 and the tournament championship in 2016

INDIVIDUAL NOTABLES - LORAS
• Senior Cyerra Hutchins returns after starting all 27 games in her first season after transferring from Kirkwood Community College
• Junior Kari Fitzpatrick joins the Duhawks for the 2017-18 season after two years at Division II Upper Iowa … In a Nov. 16 win at Lewis, Fitzpatrick scored a career-high 17 points with four rebounds and three steals
• Senior Lauren Stanich is coming off a breakout season in which she averaged 7.2 points per game, shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 39.2 from behind the arc
• Freshman Marissa Schroeder joins the Duhawks after a prep career at Marquette Catholic in which she was the 2016-17 Telegraph Herald Athlete of the Year and a IGHSAU First Team All-State selection
