DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball team opened the 2017-18 season on Friday in game two of the Fidelity Bank & Trust Tip-Off Classic. Senior Addie Obermann was perfect from behind the arc and finished with a game-high 18 points while senior Cyerra Hutchins finished with a double-double, scoring 14 points and hauling in 11 boards.

• Loras improves to 4-1 all-time against Carroll and now has won three straight against the Pioneers

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• After tying the game at 9-all in the first quarter, the Duhawks opened a 11-point lead after a 17-4 run that ran to the 7:26 mark of the second quarter
• Loras opened the second half on a 25-3 run spanning 7:11 of the third quarter … During the run, the Duhawks were 9-of-13 from the floor including 7-of-8 from deep

• Sophomore Macenzie Kramer finished with a career-high six assists to lead the Duhawks
• Oberman's 18-point night pushed her over 300 for her career at Loras and how has 459 for her career, including her two seasons at Kirkwood Community College

FRIEDMAN GROUP PLAYER OF THE GAME - ADDIE OBERMAN
• Obermann opened her senior season with a statement game, connecting on all five 3-pointers and finishing with 18 points for a career-high at Loras. The Clinton native scored nine of her 18 points during the Duhawks 25-3 run to open the second half.
