Duhawks Knock Down Pioneers

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball team made it back-to-back over Wisconsin opponents on Saturday following an 80-69 win over UW-Platteville. Senior Addie Oberman and freshman Marissa Scroeder combined for 36 points and nine assists to lead the Duhawks to victory.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED

- After conceding a 17-8 run in the second quarter, that resulted in the Pioneers tying the game at 31-all, a layup by junior Macenzie Kraemer sent the Duhawks to the halftime break with a two-point lead
- Beginning with junior Hanna Stokes free-throws with six seconds to play in the third quarter, Loras started down a 17-2 run that opened the largest lead of the game at 72-54 … Aiding the run was UWP's seven turnovers
- The Duhawks led by double-digits for the final 8:13 of the game
- Loras held the lead for 94.4 percent of the game

- Saturday's win marked the second consecutive season in which Loras has recorded at least two wins against members from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
