Women’s Basketball Preview • Wartburg/UW-Eau Claire

SERIES NOTABLES – WARTBURG
- Wartburg holds series advantage, 40-25 including four of the last five … The Knights won both matchups against the Duhawks a year ago, with the most recent being an 88-83 victory for the Knights

TEAM NOTABLES – WARTBURG
- Currently ranked No. 4 by d3hoops.com and No. 14 in the WBCA Coaches poll. 
- Wartburg is off to a 5-0 start including a 1-0 record in the Iowa Conference after an 86-58 win over Dubuque
- Preseason ranked first in the IIAC after winning the league last season
- Currently holding their opponents to a conference-leading 53.8 points per game 
- The Knights most recent win came against UW-Platteville, which was the closest game Wartburg was won this year at 58-55
- Senior duo Miranda Murphy and Katie Sommer are both averaging more than 10 points a game with 13.0 points per game and 12.2 points per game, respectively 

SERIES NOTABLES – UW-EAU CLAIRE
- The Blugolds hold a 1-0 lead in the series with the only matchup between these two coming in the 1980-81 season where UW-Eau Claire won 76-65. 

TEAM NOTABLES – UW-EAU CLAIRE
- Preseason ranked fourth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after finishing fifth a year ago with a 7-7 mark in conference play
- The Blugolds are off to 7-0 start including a 100-65 win over Dubuque on Nov. 17 
- Sophomore Anna Graaskamp leads UW-Eau Claire and the WIAC in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game while shooting 59.1 percent from the floor
- Junior Maddie Dunathan is also atop the WIAC individual statistical standings, averaging 4.0 assists per game to lead the Blugolds

TEAM NOTABLES - LORAS
- The Duhawks are currently second in the Iowa Conference in made 3-point field goals per game with 8.7
- Loras leads the conference in lowest opponent free-throw percentage with the Duhawks' opponents shooting just 62.0 from the line on the year
- On Wednesday, Loras will be looking for it's first win over a ranked opponent since the Duhawks upended seventh-ranked Wash.-St. Louis on Dec. 31, 2015 with an 80-71 victory

INDIVIDIUAL NOTABLES - LORAS
- Freshman Marissa Schroeder recorded her career-high in points (17) as well as Loras' individual game-high in field goal attempts with 15
- Leading the Duhawks in scoring is senior Addie Oberman as the Clinton, Iowa native averages 13.3 points per game, currently ninth in the Iowa Conference
- Oberman is also leading the Iowa Conference in 3-point shooting percentage at 60.7 percent which currently ranks fifth in Division III
