Women's Soccer Tops Wheaton

WHEATON, Ill. (Duhawks.com) - Reeling off Friday's 4-1 win over Denison, the Loras women's soccer team added a second win to its 2017 total on Saturday, defeating Wheaton on the road, 2-1. Senior Lauren Bolnius and junior Elizabeth Mills delivered both second half goals, as the Duhawks collected wins over the Thunder in consecutive years for the first time in program history.

After conceding the equalizing goal a minute after taking the initial lead, Mills' play in the midfield kept the Duhawks on the attack and the junior netted her second goal of the season.
 
UP NEXT
Loras hosts UW-Whitewater on Wednesday for its home opener in the Rock Bowl. It was the Warhawks who eliminated the Duhawks in the Second Round of the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament, 3-0. Whitewater opened with a 2-0 decision against Gustavus Adolphus on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
