Women's Basketball Suffers Setback to No. 2 Wartburg

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball team fell to No. 2 Wartburg, 78-56 on Wednesday. Freshman Marissa Schroeder led the offensive charge with 16 points while adding seven rebounds and three steals.

- Senior Miranda Chapman got Loras started with a 3-2 lead after a 3-pointer off an assist by senior Lauren Stanich
- The Knights opened an 18-7 lead following a 14-2 from 8:07 to 1:34 in the first quarter
- Midway through the second quarter, the Duhawks pulled to within eight of Wartburg after layup from senior Kelly Barzowski
