CHICAGO, Ill. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving team headed to the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Ill. on Saturday for a 3-team meet against IIT and Franklin (Mo.). The Scarlet Hawks took the victory against both the Men and the Women as they outscored the men by 90 points while only defeating the women by 47 points. Against Franklin the Men fell 194 to 36 while the women were defeated 170 to 56.Â

Sophomore Sarah Shafer set the 3rd fastest 50 free time in school history at 25.00 giving her 1st place.
Senior Mac Faldet swam a 4:46.05 in the Men's 400 yard IM placing him in 3rd place.Â
In the Women's 3 meter diving event Senior Mikaela Lengwin finished in second place with 208.20 points.
Freshman Jacob Priewe swam a career best 1:00.17 in the Men's 100 yard freestyle event.Â
