USTFCCCA Regional Rankings – Week 3

Oct. 1, 2019 – For the second week in a row, the Loras College men's cross country team is the No. 6 ranked team in the Central Region as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.

Loras took a week off from competition after a stellar weekend at the National Catholic Championship on Sept. 20, placing fifth overall among a field of Division I, II, and III teams. The Duhawks were the top Division-III team, led by Luke Guttormson with a 16th place finish (26:22.46) for the 5,000-meter course and Patrick Wolak finishing 18th (26:29.73).

The rankings stayed the same from Week 2, as American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) rival Wartbug College is ranked No. 1 and Carleton College sits at No. 2. St. Olaf College ranks third, followed by St. Thomas University (Minn.) in fourth and conference opponent Luther College in fifth.

Gustavus Adolphus College is the No. 7-ranked team behind the Duhawks followed by the final A-R-C team, Simpson College, in eighth, St. John's University (Minn.) in ninth and Bethel University (Minn.) in tenth.

The Duhawks travel to Waverly, Iowa for the Wartburg College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5. Race time is set for 10:30 a.m.
