Luke Guttormson led the Loras College men's cross country team to a third place finish at the American Rivers Conference Championships. Guttormson earned his first all-conference honor with a 11th place finish in a time of 27:47.9.
Joey Schultz was next crossing the finish line in 28:08.1, while the Duhawks' next finisher was
Tyler Havens in 21st (28:18.5), right behind Havens was
Patrick Wolak in 22nd (28:20.8), and rounding out the scorers for Loras was
Logan Hayes with a time of 28:32.7.Â
The Duhawks scored a total of 103 points good for a third-place team finish at the championships.Â
In the junior varsity race,
Ethan Hammerand completed the race in 18th place with a time of 29:38.9.
Blake Keller finished 22nd (29:51.8),
Cole Conklin-Little was 26th (29:58.8),
Nathan Vail (30:01.4) was 28th, and
Devin Tervelt placed 31st with a time of 30:05.7. Â
The Duhawks will turn their attention to the NCAA Central Regional Championships in Waverly, Iowa, on Saturday, November 16. The first race begins at 11:00 a.m.Â
