WBCA Poll
November 20, 2019 – The Loras College women's basketball team emerged as the No. 22-ranked team in the nation in latest the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top-25 after upsetting then-ranked No. 16 Washington University in St. Louis, and then-ranked No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The WBCA released the first set of season rankings on Tuesday.
Loras won the Loras College Tip-Off Classic with a 93-81 victory against WashU and an 88-83 overtime win against UW-Oshkosh to bring the Duhawks' record to 3-0. Prior to the classic, Loras defeated Elmhurst College on the road 94-59 to start their season.
Macenzie Kraemer leads the Duhawks in scoring as she starts her season on a tear averaging 22.3 points per game.
Courtney Schnoor averages 15.7 points per game while
Marissa Schroeder averages 14.7, and Kari Fitpatrick averages 12.7.
The Duhawks rank behind American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Wartburg College, seeded third in the nation. The Titans of UW-Oshkosh fell to No. 12 and WashU dropped to No. 21 in the poll.
Loras will travel to Eau Claire, Wis. to face University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday, November 23 before starting A-R-C play against Central College on Nov. 26. Tip-off against the Blugolds is set for 5 P.M.
