SAINT JOSEPH, Minn. (September 13, 2019) - The No. 17 Loras College women's soccer team were defeated by the College of St. Benedict 3-1 Friday afternoon in St. Joseph, Minn. 

St. Benedict's Chloe Miller opened up the scoring in the 24th minute thanks to the assist from Sydney Sherek. Roxy Veldman and Mara Mara Flaherty assisted Megan Thompson in the 35th minute to push the Bennies lead to 2-0. 

Veldman scored a goal of her own in the 42nd minute to tally the final score for St. Benedict.

Olivia Lansing scored her first goal of the season in the in the 77th minute to bring the score to 3-1. Loras finished with 17 shots, seven in the first half and ten in the second half. 

Loras (5-1) will continue their Minnesota trip and face non-conference opponent Augsburg on Saturday, Sept. 14. First kick is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
