Ryleigh O'Brien secured her first career hat trick Thursday night against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, helping the Duhawks improve to 6-3-0. With tonight's win head coach
Matt Pucci earned his 50th career win as a head coach.
The Duhawks struck first in the 17th minute thanks to O'Brien's goal assisted by
Abby Eriksen and
Payton McDonnell. Just a minute and a half later Eriksen passed the ball
Kiki Cabrera who dished it to O'Brien who scored her second goal of the night.
O'Brien scored her third goal, completing the hat trick in the 46th minute thanks to
Brynn Jacobi's assist off her head.
Hannah Mirmimanian finished the night with one save, stopping the Pioneers only shot of the night in the 71st minute.
Loras will resume action on Saturday, September 28 at 3:30 PM, as they host Coe College in their first American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) match of the season. The Duhawks will celebrate Latinx Night with in-game promotions and a special Spanish broadcast.
