DECORAH, Iowa (Oct. 10, 2020) – The Loras College men's cross country team placed all five scoring runners in the top-ten to win the Luther College Triangular on Saturday with each clocking season-best times for 8,000-meter races.
Luke Guttormson was the first Duhawk to cross the finish line in second with a time of 26:04.4 and
Evan Jamrozy was on his heels in third with a time of 24:06.7.
Ryan Harvey placed fourth with a time of 26:27.0 followed by
Will Yasdick in sixth (26:37.0) and
Will Whalen in eighth (26:55.0).
Brian Maty (27:27.8) added a top-15 finish, placing 13th and
Seth Corrigan (27:40.9) and
Wyatt Kelly (27:51.8) were top-20 finishers in 17th and 18th, respectively.
The Duhawks tallied 23 points and the Norse placed second to the Duhawks with 33 points. Nebraska Wesleyan University posted 76 points. Luther's Ian Kelly won the race with a time of 26:00.7.
Loras' next race is set for Saturday, Oct. 24 in Waverly, Iowa for the Wartburg College Triangular, the final tune-up ahead of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championship on Nov. 7. Races begin at noon.
