February 7, 2020– The No. 3 Loras College wrestling team put on a dominant performance on senior night by shutting out crosstown rival No. 24-ranked University of Dubuque for a third year in a row by a score of 46-0 and extending their A-R-C record to a perfect 6-0.
Senior
Matt Randone started the Duhawks on a high note with a 13-6 decision over Aaron Black of the Spartan's at 125-pounds. In a tightly contested match at 133 lbs., sophomore
Mason McMillen prevailed over D3wrestle.com honorable mention-ranked Brendan Hazelton by way of 3-2 decision.

Brice Everson added five more points to the Duhawk lead by securing a technical fall over Dakota Unpingco at the 5:35 mark. Making his varsity debut for the Duhawks at 149-pounds,
Daniel Ruiz started his Loras career with a first period pin over Luke Radeke of the Spartans. Senior and No. 2/4
Brandon Murray added another dominant victory to his senior campaign, defeating Jessy Diaz by 15-5 major decision at 157 lbs.
Leading 21-0 at the halfway mark, senior and No. 2/3
Eddie Smith earned a hard-fought 3-0 decision at 165 lbs. over Dubuque's Zarik Anderson. Maintaining the momentum for the Duhawks was No. 4
Jacob Krakow who racked up six team points by pinning Logan Sears at the 3:22 mark in the 174 lbs match. After trailing early in the first period at 184 lbs., freshman
Shane Liegel battled back and tallied an 11-3 major decision over Chris Nielson.
In his final home dual for Loras, three-time All-American and No. 1 ranked
Guy Patron Jr. collected a third-period fall over Terrin Rackouski at 197 lbs. In the penultimate bout at heavyweight, D3wrestle.com contender
Wyatt Wriedt put the home crowd to its feet by pinning fellow contender Darryl Aiello with nine seconds to spare in a back-and-forth match, putting the final score at 46-0.
The Duhawks will head to Waverly, Iowa with the A-R-C title on the line against No. 1 Wartburg College on Friday, Feb. 14
th. Wrestling will begin from Levick Arena 7 PM.
