PORTLAND, Ore. (Oct. 16, 2021) - Led by seniors
Wyatt Kelly and
Joey Schultz clocking top-ten all-time performances, the No.25- ranked Loras College men's cross country finished fourth in the team race at the Lewis & Clark Invitational at Milo McIver State Park in Portland, Ore. on Saturday.
Kelly led the Duhawks with a 22nd place finish and a time of 24:43.4, which ties for fourth all-time in school history.
Luke Guttormson was the next in for the Duhawks with a time of 24:51.6 and 26th overall with Schultz right behind him in 27th, running 24:52.1 which is good for eighth all time in school history. Rounding out the scoring was
Will Yasdick (25:05.1) finishing in 39th and
Julian Watson (25:11.4) in 44th.
Division I University of Portland won the meet with a perfect score of 15 points. Division II Southern Oregon University finished in second with 78 points with Carleton College finishing in third place with 94 points.
The Duhawks will have a week off as they prepare for the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championship on Oct. 30, hosted by Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Races begin 11 A.M.
