INDIANOLA, Iowa (Apr. 25, 2021) - The Loras College women's soccer team (7-1, 7-1 A-R-C) closed out their Spring 2021 campaign in Indianola on Sunday afternoon as they faced the Simpson College Storm in their final matchup of the year.
Kaighin Frost, a freshman from Davenport, Iowa, posted her first career goal in the first half of the match to take the Duhawks past the Storm 1-0.
Frost's goal came in the 29th minute as
Hannah Schmitz passed the ball to
Abby Eriksen, who sent the ball to the feet of Frost and into the back of the net for the lone goal of the match.
The Duhawks rifled 14 shots at Simpson goalkeeper Brenny Frederick with sophomore midfielder
Payton McDonnell leading the attack with five shots in the match.
Brynn Jacobi, Eriksen and Schmitz each got off two shots while
Caitlin Farrell,
Emily Perhats and Frost each added one apiece.

Kyndal Kells recorded her fifth shutout of the season as the Loras defense held the Storm to just one shot on goal with Kells making the save.
