SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Sept. 17, 2021) – Ranked No. 15 in the nation in the latest national poll, the Loras College men's cross country team made its mark as the top Division III program on the course on Friday as the Duhawks, led by sophomore
Ryan Harvey crossing the line as the first Division III runner, posted a third-place team finish at the National Catholic Championship, hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
Harvey completed the five-mile race in 25:51.3 to place 11th overall and fifth-year senior

Luke Guttormson followed in 16th (26:15.7) and 17th (26:17.4) as the top-three Duhawks. Fifth-year senior
Ethan Hammerand helped Loras' scoring with a top-20 finish and time of 26:35.1 and freshman
Julian Watson made his National Catholic debut as the Duhawks' fifth man, placing 24th with a time of 26:42.6.
The host Fighting Irish won the race with a near-perfect score of 16 followed by Division II Lewis University ahead of the Duhawks to round out the top-three programs.
Loras takes a week off from racing and will return to the course on Friday, Oct. 1 for the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in Rock Island, Ill., hosted by Augustana College. Races begin at 4:30 P.M.
