Nov. 3, 2022 – After a pair of runner-up finishes at last weekend's American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championships last weekend, both Loras College cross country teams are ranked at No. 22 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, which was released on Wednesday afternoon.
Graduate student
Kassie Parker claimed her second straight A-R-C Championship last weekend, helping to give the women's team a strong second-place finish. The Duhawks remained at No. 4 in the Midwest region after the meet.
Senior
Luke Guttormson paced the men's team last Saturday and finished as the runner-up as an individual while fellow senior
Wyatt Kelly and sophomore
Julian Watson each finished inside the top seven. The trio helped the men's side earn a second-place finish, which elevated the Duhawks four spots to No. 22 nationally and boosted them to third in the Midwest region.
Both Loras teams are vying for a spot in the NCAA Division III National Championship meet and first will take on the Midwest Regional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 12 in Aurora, Ill.
