aPELLA, Iowa – The No. 33 men's cross country program finished third overall at the 2023 American Rivers Conference Championships on Saturday morning, closing out the meet with 76 team points.

Four Duhawks earned All-Conference honors, as Julian Watson, Ryan Harvey, Jacob Belha, and Eric Rutherford all garnered the award after finishing within the top-20. Watson was the Duhawks' highest finisher, as the junior closed out the 8K race in sixth place at 25:11.3. Havey finished 17^th with a time of 25:53, followed by Behlha in 19^th at 25:56.6. Rutherford closed out the race in 20^th with a time of 25:58.1.

Carlo Dannenfelser placed 22^nd at 26:02.8, while Landis Musser was 27^th with 26:09.8. Jack Beehler took 29^th at 26:16.2, followed by Leo Gartlan in 55^th (27:09), Derek Behrens in 63^rd (27:18.2), Matt Foote in 77^th (27:33.7), Logan Hoger in 79^th (27:35.1), and Stephen Ringo in 82^nd (27:36.9).

Freshman Colby Cryer placed 87^th (27:45) in his first taste of A-R-C action, followed by Jacob Hocking (93^rd – 27:50.4), Cade Messer (101^st – 28:02), Gavin Denholm (112^th – 28:17.6), Dom Garrard (134^th – 28:49.7), Lucas Arnold (138^th – 29:03.6), Carson Hendrey (29:13.5), and Aaron Lodwig (144^th – 29:13.5).

The men will return to postseason action in two weeks when they head out to Waverly to partake in the NCAA DIII Midwest Regionals, hosted by Wartburg College.
