WAVERLY, Iowa – The Duhawk men's cross country team finished fifth out of 31 teams on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regionals, hosted by Wartburg College.
The men had three top-31 finishes in the 8 kilometer race en route to earning a score of 135.
Ryan Harvey took ninth after running 24:35.4, followed by
Julian Watson in 13
th at 24:38.8.
Carlo Dannenfelser closed out the race in 31
st at a time of 25:16.7, while
Jacob Belha ran 25:20.5 to take 32nd, closing out Duhawks to earn an All-Region nod after finishing with an overall score in the top-30.
Jack Beehler ran 25:45 to take 53rd, with
Landis Musser (57th - 25:51.1) and
Eric Rutherford in (62
nd -
25:54.2) rounding out Duhawk racers.
UP NEXT: The Duhawks will now wait and see if the program's performance on Saturday is enough to punch its ticket to the NCAA Division III National Championships in Dickinson, Penn., on Saturday, Nov. 18. The official selections for the meet are scheduled to be released on NCAA.com tomorrow.
