Men Split Saturday's Double Dual Meet

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Loras College men's Swim and Dive program split its competition at its double dual meet over the weekend, coming away victorious over Iowa Lakes Community College, 121-31, and falling to Iowa Central Community College, 168-31.

The 200-yard medley relay squad were the closest of any Duhawk competitor to claiming a race win, as the squad fell to Iowa Central by just under five seconds.

Sophomore Caden Gillmore had a top-three finish in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing at 1:51.17. Brad LaGrange finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (51.01), followed by Austin Jorgensen in fifth at a time of 54.33.

Joey Kock closed in on a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (2:17.12), while Alexander Dvorak finished third in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:25.52.

Up Next: The Duhawks will return to the pool for the Wheaton Invite which begins on Thursday, Nov. 30 and runs through Saturday, Dec. 2. Thursday will serve as the diving portion of the Invite, which will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Friday's split action begins at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., while Saturday kicks off at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
