PELLA, Iowa – The Loras College Duhawks men's and women's cross country teams had successful outings at the Central College Dutch Invitational, as the men took first and the women placed second.
Ryan Harvey placed first on in men's 6K, clocking in at 18:56.4, cementing the junior among the Duhawk greats with the fourth-fastest time in school history. Following Harvey was sophomore
Eric Rutherford in fifth place (19:14.5) with
Julian Watson (19:21.8) and
Carlo Dannenfelser (19:27.2) placing sixth and seventh, respectively.
Ryan McGrath (19:31.4 – 9
th),
Jacob Belha (19:50.2 – 12
th), and
Landis Musser (19:54.9 – 13), closed out Loras runners in the top-15.
On the women's side, sophomore Bailey Vaughn was the top finisher, coming in fourth after running the 5K in 19:43.7.
Frankie Chaidez crossed the finish line merely two seconds later (19:45.5) to finish fifth.
