LISLE, Ill. – The Loras College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on day two of the Eagle Classic at the Dan and Ada Rice Center on the campus of Benedictine University.
The Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College (1-2) swept the Duhawks, 3-0, in the first contest of the day, but Loras bounced back against the DePauw University Tigers to take the second game, 3-1, and finish the day with a 1-1 record.

The Duhawks fell 20-25 in the opening set, 17-25 in set two and 19-25 in the final set.
Leading the Loras offense was
Autumn Finch who finished with seven kills and
Sophie Younkin who tallied six kills.
Sara Hoskins totaled 20 assists, while
Gina DeVoe added in six digs in the loss. The Duhawks hit .194 as a team, finishing with 25 kills and 11 errors in 72 attempts.
Kayla Wigley led the way for the Warriors with 11 kills and six digs, while Bailey Halliburton contributed 10 kills in the win. The Warriors hit .255 as a team, finishing with 42 kills and 18 errors in 94 attempts.
Loras 3, DePauw 1
Loras held on in a tight first set against the Tigers to take set one by a score of 25-23. The Duhawks kept the momentum going in set two with a decisive 25-13 win to take a 2-0 lead.
DePauw (0-3) responded back in set three with a 25-16 victory, but the Duhawks finished strong with a dominant, 25-15 win in set four to take the match.
Loras hit .154 as a team, finishing with 47 kills and 23 errors on 156 attempts.
Patrycja Jarzabek led the Duhawks with 10 kills, eight digs and three service aces.
Autumn Finch and
Sophie Younkin both got in on the action tallying nine kills apiece and seven and 15 digs respectively.
Sara Hoskins recorded 33 assists and a team-high 18 digs in the win for the purple and gold.
The Tigers were led by Olivia Karwin who totaled nine kills, three service aces and 13 digs. Grace Myers posted a game-high 21 digs, while Lauren Ridgway added in five blocks in the loss.
