WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Loras College women's soccer team took down the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 4-0, in its first road test of the season to remain undefeated.
For the second time this season,
Julia Neary netted the first goal of the contest off assists from
Bella Talbot and
Savannah Johnson.
Hannah Schmitz capitalized on a free kick right outside of the box at the 15:44 mark, to give the Duhawks the 2-0 lead at the half.
The Johnson sisters scored the final two goals of the contest less than two minutes apart.
Savannah Johnson tallied her fourth goal of the season with 69:54 left to play and shortly after at the 71:28 minute mark,
Belle Johnson recorded her first goal as a Duhawk off of a pass from teammate
Emerson Gasmann.
Loras (3-0) totaled 20 shots and put 12 of them on frame, while the Warhawks (0-3) took three shots and only put one of them on goal.
Up Next: The Duhawks are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 9 against the Falcons of Concordia University-Wisconsin. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
