Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete at Augustana Interregional

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Loras College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Augustana Interregional Saturday morning.

Women's Gold Division 6K
Out of 355 runners, coming into the top spot for the Duhawks was Frankie Chaidez, with a time of 22:15.0 earning her 34th place.

Becca Diddia would be next to cross the finish line, clocking in a time of 22:35.9 which earned her 51st place. Natalia Wrobel secured a time of 24:01.8, which put her in 175th place. Paige Jacobs not far behind, would run a time of 24:08.6 which earned her 179th place.

Rounding out the scoring in the Gold Division would come by way of Bailey Vaughan, Ivy Glendening, and Hannah Landwehr. Vaughan clocked in a time of 24:18.0 finishing 192nd. Glendening earned a time of 24:21.1 securing a 194th place finish. Landwehr secured a time of 25.06.8 finishing in 257th place.

Hunter Jones finished 269th (25.22.0) and Emily Jackson finished 286th (25.35.5).

The women placed 18th out of 35 teams.

Men's Gold Division 8K
Out of 436 runners, leading the Duhawks was Julian Watson, clocking in a time of 25:06.6, a season best time, earning him 35th place.

Following not far behind, Isaac Bourne earned a time 25:11.4 placing him in 40th. Eric Rutherford clocked in a time of 25:25.4 placing him in 56th place.

Jacob Belha and Jack Beehler also finished with season bests, Belha clocked a time of 25:30.8, placing him in 66th place, while Beehler finished 26:08.2 in 135th place.

Securing the final points in the Gold Division, Will Yasdick earns a time of 26:19.7, putting him in 162nd place. Right behind him came Carlo Dannenfelser with a time of 26:19.8 securing 163rd place. Landis Musser finished with a time of 26:24.3 earning 167th place. All three finishes were season bests for the Purple and Gold.

Aaron Lodwig finished 226th (26.53.5) Logan Hoger finished 310th (27:32.9 SB) and Colby Cryer finished 315th place (27.38.5)

The men finished 7th out of 40 teams.

Women's Blue Division 6K
Out of 264 runners Samantha Foht led the Duhawks with a finish of 25:30.3 which earned her a 68th place finish.

Both Sarah Gibson and Olivia Carroll earned PR's, Gibson came in 125th place with a time of 26:27.7, while Carroll came in 197th place with a time of 28.32.1.

The team placed 22nd out of 25 teams.

Men's Blue Division 8K
Out of 407 runners Carson Hendrey earned a PR finishing with a time of 27:10.3 placing him in 79th place.

Cade Messer secured a season best time of 27:37.4 earning a 118th place finish. Right behind Messer came Brayden Frey with a PR of 27:37.7 with a 119th place finish.

Lucas Arnold clocked a time of 27:51.8, placing him 140th. Evan Schlichting finished with a time of 28:10.3 which secured him a 165th place finish. Sam Horman ran a time of 28:36.4 which earned him a 206th place finish. Enoch Thielhelm rounded out the scoring for the Duhawks with a time of 29:36.3 which placed him in 279th.

Vince Frederiksen finished 287th (29:47.1 PR), Ben Zimmer finished 304th (30:07.0).

Up Next: The Purple and Gold compete at the A-R-C Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 2. Races begin for the women at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. for the men at Seminole Valley Park.
