TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The No. 27 Loras College men's cross country team concluded its 2024 season on a strong note, competing in the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships on Saturday morning. This marks the fourth consecutive year the Duhawks have qualified for the national meet. The team finished the race in 27th place overall, a notable achievement as they continue to perform at a high level on the national stage.

"The start wasn't exactly what we hoped for, said head coach Ethan Adlfinger, "but I was happy to see the men still move up throughout the race."

Isaac Bourne led the Duhawks who finished the race in 103rd place with a time of 25:13.3. Bourne started off at 157th place and moved up to as high as 62nd by the 4K mile mark. Julian Watson was the next Duhawk to finish the race at 113th place with a finish of 25:18.8.

Carlo Dannenfelser took 180th with a time of 25:40.5, Jacob Belha (204th - 25:48.5, Eric Rutherford (209th -25:51.0), Jack Beehler (258th – 26:07.2), and Landis Musser (278th – 26:47.6)

"We had several men place higher at the national meet this year than any they have in the past, so I know we are moving in the right direction."
