CHICAGO, Ill. – The Loras College women's soccer team continued its success by shutting out the North Park University Vikings, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
The scoring started early for the Duhawks, as
Isabel Russmann tallied her second goal of the season at the 09:41 minute mark when she nailed one over the Vikings keeper from outside the box, off a pass from
Kaighin Frost. Despite having outshot North Park (2-2-0), 13-2 in the first half, the Duhawks were only able to get one goal on the board. Â
Shortly into the second half,
Savannah Johnson tallied her third goal of the season at the 58:49-minute mark off a feed from
Reagan Lindsay.
The strong Duhawk defense held the Vikings to three shots, none of which were on goal.
Kyndal Kells earned the shutout and secured the victory with another clean sheet.
