ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Loras College women's soccer team saw its postseason run come to an end Saturday afternoon, falling 3–1 to North Central (Ill.) in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament at Francis Olympic Field.
North Central (16-5-0, 8-0-0 CCIW) opened the scoring in the 4th minute, but Loras (15-2-2, 6-1-1 A-R-C) responded in the 20th as
Emerson Gasmann netted her ninth goal of the season to level the match at 1–1.
In the second half, the Cardinals pulled back in front in the 57th minute and added an insurance goal in the 90th to seal the result. Loras generated 10 shots, five on target, while goalkeeper
Hannah Fedinec recorded three saves.
