NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Loras College men's wrestling team turned in a dominant showing on Saturday at the Gator 'Boots' Duals, going a perfect 3-0 on the day with three convincing victories.
Loras opened the day with a commanding 45-0 shutout over No. 25 Alvernia University. The Duhawks controlled the action throughout the dual, collecting bonus points across the lineup and holding Alvernia scoreless.
In the second dual of the day, Loras continued its strong performance with a 38-7 victory over Averett University. The Duhawks built momentum early and maintained control through the whole dual, showcasing depth and consistency across all weight classes.
The Duhawks closed the day with a 34-8 win over No. 18 Baldwin Wallace University to complete the sweep. Strong performances up and down the lineup helped Loras secure the team victory and finish the day undefeated.
Up Next: Loras will look to carry the momentum into its next competition at the NWCA Division III National Duals from Jan. 9-10 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
