March 25, 2025

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Four student-athletes from the Loras College men's and women's basketball teams have earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2024-25 Academic All-District Team, as announced in the organization's official release on Tuesday.

Representing the men's team is Jared Pearson, while Silvana Scarsella, Lexi Beier, and Daniella Jarrell were recognized from the women's program.

Across the American Rivers Conference, a total of 47 men's and women's basketball players were named to this year's Academic All-District teams.

The CSC Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams honor outstanding student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program further distinguishes honorees across four divisions—NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Academic All-District® selections will move forward for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with first, second, and third team Academic All-America® recipients set to be announced on April 15, 2025 (men) and April 16, 2025 (women).

To qualify for Academic All-District recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale), and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Additionally, nominees must have completed at least one full academic year at their institution and hold sophomore athletic and academic eligibility.
