MANHEIM, Pa. - Six wrestlers from the Loras College men's wrestling team were recognized for their excellence in both academics and athletics as the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced their 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-American selections Thursday morning. Representing the Duhawks on this year's list are
Allen Catour,
Nosa Egbon,
Chase Fiser,
Braylon Griffiths,
Aidan Gruenenfelder, and
Eric Kinkaid.
Across Division III, 473 wrestlers from 105 schools earned Scholar All-American recognition for their achievements in the classroom while competing during the 2025-2026 season.
In order to receive NWCA Scholar All-American honors, a wrestler must have a GPA of 3.2 or greater from the previous academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater. If a freshman, their GPA from the fall of 2023 must be above 3.2.
Wrestlers must also meet at least one of the following wrestling criteria: NCAA Qualifier with a winning record; finish in the top six at the NCAA regional while competing in at least half of the team's scheduled competitions and compiling a winning record; or win at least 67% of their matches while competing in at least 50% of their team's scheduled competitions.
