CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Loras College women's golf team opened its 2026 fall season with a ninth-place finish at the Kohawk Classic, hosted by Coe College at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course.

The Duhawks finished the two-round tournament at +100 as a team. Loras improved significantly on the second day, cutting 18 strokes off its opening-round score with a 329 after shooting 347 on Saturday.

Julia Busch led the way for Loras, finishing tied for 16th individually at +15 for the tournament. Busch followed an opening-round 83 (+11) with a strong 76 (+4) in the final round, improving by seven strokes and moving up 12 spots on the leaderboard.

Ellen Pechan also made a move on Sunday, climbing three spots to finish tied for 38th at +24. Pechan carded an 87 (+15) in the opening round before improving by six strokes with an 81 (+9) in round two.

Elish Flynn finished tied for 47th at +29. Flynn shot an 89 (+17) on Saturday before turning in an 84 (+12) during Sunday's final round, moving five spots up the leaderboard.

Autumn Allen finished tied for 55th at +34, recording rounds of 88 (+16) and 90 (+18). Caera Owens rounded out the Loras lineup in 61st at +37, improving five strokes between rounds with a 93 (+21) on Saturday and an 88 (+16) on Sunday.

Up Next: Loras will be back in action on Sept, 14 and 15, when they host the Loras Invite. The two day tournament will take place at The Meadows Golf Club in Asbury, Iowa.
