Baseball Facilities
Along the banks of the breathtaking Mississippi, Petrakis Park is home to the Loras College baseball team. A part of the McAleece Sports Complex and right across from the Mystique Community Ice Center built in 2010, Petrakis sees live action from the Duhawks primarily in the spring along with a few fall practices. Its name comes from John Petrakis, former "Mr. Baseball" in Dubuque, and opened its gates on May 4, 1986. The stadium bleacher capacity is "in the ballpark" of 200 patrons and close to 300 when including lawn space. The dimensions are 325 feet to left and right fields and 400 feet to center field.
In 2013, the Loras College Baseball program announced the addition of their indoor training facility, located in the Fieldhouse.
