Krystal joined the coaching staff in 2021. She is a Loras Swimming alumni and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work. She lives with her husband and children in Dubuque and you will often see them at practice and meets supporting the team. Â
In her second year as an assistant swim coach in 2022-23, Shannon helped lead the men’s and women's swimming and diving teams to successful seasons. The men’s team finished 6-3 and the women’s team finished 4-5. At the inaugural American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championships, the men finished 3rd and the women finished 5th. The women’s team saw Nina Schiro, Emma Pajtash, Molly Strohmeyer, and Annie Quinn earn A-R-C All-Conference Honors. The men’s team saw Caden Gillmore, Brad LaGrange, Joey Kock, Brian Day, Austin Jorgensen, Connor Smith, Charles Holmes, Noah James, and Gannon Harrington earn A-R-C All-Conference honors.Â
